Every year, accounting firms compete to hire the best people from accounting schools in Malaysia and other places.
When talking to aspiring accountants, I suggest a different approach.
I believe it’s more important to look at their achievements in extracurricular activities rather than just their academic grades.
Many universities produce smart students, so focusing only on grades isn’t enough. Instead, students should also work on leadership and business skills through hashtag#extracurricular activities.
When you write your resume, be specific about the roles you’ve had and what you accomplished.
Remember to include your hashtag#linkedin profile in your resume. It lets potential employers see what you share and engage with professionally.
While we may not offer what big firms do to attract super-smart people, I find it rewarding to help underestimated individuals become successful, benefiting both themselves and others.
Remarkably, 5 out of 7 members of my hashtag#management team began their journey within our organization hashtag#ktp as per the picture below.
I’m delighted to announce the addition of 2 more hashtag#managers namely Shi Qing Chai and Lim Nguan Lian nurtured internally to our hashtag#ktp team recently.
