Common Mistakes In Form E

The deadline for Form E compliance filing is approaching. Here are some common mistakes on Form E in Malaysia based on my experiences :

1 .Incorrect Employee Information
Make sure to provide accurate details like name, IC number, and salary.

2. Incorrect Employer Information
Double-check your company details such as name, registration number, and address.

3. Incorrect Tax Deductions
Ensure that the tax deductions for each employee are calculated correctly based on their salary.

4. Late Submission
Submit the Form E before the deadline to avoid penalties.

5. Missing Signatures
Ensure all required signatures are provided, including those of the employer and the preparer.

6. Incomplete Forms
Fill out all sections of the form accurately and completely.

6. Incorrectly Reported Income
Report all income accurately, including bonuses, allowances, and benefits-in-kinds.

7. Mismatched Figures
Ensure consistency in the figures reported across different sections of the form.

8. Not Updating Changes
Update any changes in employee information, such as resignations or new hires.

9. Not Keeping Records
Maintain proper records of Form E submissions for future reference.
