MIA Speaking Engagement

Exciting news!

I recently had the opportunity to be a panelist at the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (hashtag#MIA) event “Challenges and Opportunities for Practitioners” in Johor today.

Alongside three (3) other speakers Angela Lim, Jay Shong, Jason Thow we discussed the current state of the accounting industry, including the proposed audit exemption, finding and keeping talent, and opportunities for accountants, different working culture across region, working from home insights, tips on value added services for accountants and etc.

I was impressed with how smoothly MIA Southern Chairman Wen Tak Wong led the discussion.

He made sure to link our stories to important topics and encouraged audience participation, making for an engaging and informative conversation.

As the event drew to a close, Chairman Wong reminded us that adaptability and a willingness to learn are essential qualities for accountants in today’s ever-evolving industry.

Overall, it was a fantastic opportunity to learn, share ideas, and connect with other accountants in the region.

I am grateful to have been invited as a panelist. But I am still surprised they invited this 老 Kok Kok as one of panelist until now ! They are so youthful 嫩草!😬
