Last Friday I celebrate my colleague on passing your ACCA and MICPA December exams!
I want to share how I passed the ACCA exams while working full-time. It was a really hard time, but I did it!
Every day, after work, I didn’t go home right away. I stayed in my office to study. I had to leave late to catch the last bus. The trip was long, with two bus rides to get home.
On weekends, I spent all day in the library, from when it opened until it closed at 5pm. Then take bus to another library (either temple or Chinese association) for night study.
My journey through the ACCA exams was a marathon, not a sprint. I tackled 18 papers with six attempts, a testament to my determination.
A significant milestone was passing five papers in one go on Level 1.
Completing nine papers in four sittings on Level 2, with one session dedicated to a single paper before moving on to level 3, was another highlight of my journey.
The final victory was passing Level 3 in one sitting, a feat that filled me with sensational pride and a sense of accomplishment.
I’m really thankful to my old company, ASQ, for their support. And a big thank you to my old boss, Tony Seah. He was more than a boss, he was like a teacher to me. He helped and encouraged me a lot.
It was a tough time, but I learned a lot about scarifice, delay gratification and smoke hard 🤦♂️
I want to tell others trying to do this: it’s hard, but you can do it! Keep going, and you’ll make it.
