The Art of Presentation

Last week, I accompanied my manager to a meeting with our hashtag#ktp client to discuss their finances. Before the meeting, I suggested that my manager should lead the conversation.

After the meeting, I shared the key takeaways with my manager and proposed ways to improve our presentation.

Here are some tips that I shared with my manager:

1. Get to know the client better
It is essential to learn about the client’s industry, competitors (we do SSM research on few companies), and what leads to success in their market.

Understanding how the client makes money is also crucial.

2. Use storytelling
Simplify your explanations and aim for clarity over cleverness. Share information through stories.

3. Know your audience
Adapt your message for your listeners. Grasp what the audience knows and needs.

Notice their reactions and respond to them. Ensure they leave with clear next steps.

By following these tips, we can better understand our client’s needs, communicate more effectively, and ultimately provide better service.
