The Malaysian Acts A1648 and Act 835, effective from June 1, 2024, integrate the Factories and Machinery Act 1967 into the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994.
These amendments apply universally across all workplace sectors 🗡 but exclude domestic, military, and maritime workers.

Significant updates include mandatory occupational health services, stricter machinery licensing, and increased penalties for violations. Additionally, directors bear joint liability for safety breaches.
