Bad Hand Writing

The other day, I had a light-hearted chat with one of our team members about his handwriting.

Now, to be fair, my handwriting isn’t exactly a work of art either, but at least it’s usually readable.

My said team member’s handwriting, on the other hand, often requires a manager and partner review to decode it.

Sometimes, we’re left guessing what he’s written, and that’s a definite no-no in our line of work.

Handwriting might seem like a trivial issue in the grand scheme of things, but it’s crucial for ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow.

In our audit/tax field, we can’t afford misunderstandings when handling important documents. Misinterpreting a single word or number can lead to costly mistakes and unnecessary delays.

This simple, often overlooked aspect of our work can have significant repercussions.

How to resolve?

In an age where digital transformation is the buzzword, perhaps it’s time we considered moving more of our work to the cloud.

With online writing tools, everything is typed out and easily readable, eliminating the guesswork that comes with guessing handwritten notes.
