People often ask me if my daughters will take over my KTP business.
My answer is always the same: No. I want them to choose their own paths in life.
Recently, I watched a movie called “Successor”. At first, I didn’t expect much—it’s a comedy, after all. I thought it would just be some light entertainment to help me relax and laugh.

But the movie turned out to be much more than that; it made me think deeply about what education really means.
The film started off with plenty of laughs, especially in the first 30 minutes. I couldn’t stop laughing!
But as the story went on, it got deeper, and I began to understand the saying, “Behind every comedy is a tragedy.”
One line from Ma Dateng, played by Shen Teng, really hit me: “You think we’re controlling you, but actually, you’ve been controlling our lives.”
It made me realize how many parents shape their whole lives around their kids.
The movie is brave—it talks about things we often avoid, revealing the hidden feelings of many parents. It shows how children grow up under their parents’ expectations, not often asked what they really want.
They end up in a world where everything is done “for their own good,” even if it’s not what they want.
Watching this made me feel even better about letting my kids choose their own way.
I’m truly okay with whatever they decide for their lives.
If you have some free time this weekend, I suggest watching this movie. It will make you laugh, but it will also make you think.
It’s more than just a comedy; it’s an eye-opener.
