For the past ten years, I’ve had a bit of a hobby photography. Well, perhaps “hobby” is an understatement.
Every image or video you’ve seen on our #KTP socials? Yup, that was me—whether it’s capturing our events, editing, or putting together videos, I’ve been the one behind the camera.

Now, when I say “hobby,” maybe I should clarify—my gear list alone could probably stock a small studio!
Here’s what I’ve accumulated over the years on my photography & videography gear @ 6/9/2024 :
- Olympus OM-D E-M1 (3 units) – For high-quality photography.
- Olympus Tough TG – For action and rugged environments.
- Ricoh GR III – Perfect for street photography.
- GoPro 7 – For adventure and action-packed shots.
- Insta360 – For 360-degree video and unique perspectives.
- DJI Mini Drone – For aerial photography and videography.
- Fujifilm Instax Mini Evo – Instant fun with printed photos.
Software & Subscriptions :
- Adobe Creative Cloud – Includes Adobe Photoshop (PS) and Adobe Lightroom (LR) for editing photos.
- Nik Collection – A powerful set of photo editing tools and filters.
- Many other editing software in mobile phone
Despite all the gear, I still consider myself a casual photographer (though, I might have a bit of a gear acquisition habit!). The MCO, combined with work commitments, definitely slowed down my photography game—I lost a bit of my mojo along the way.
Am I a professional photographer because of all this gear? Not at all.
Turns out, collecting cameras and lenses doesn’t automatically make you an expert. But hey, it’s fun… and a little sickening too!
Am I addicted to collecting gear? Probably.
Recently, I passed #ktp official photography duties to our fantastic admin team, Ashley and Christina.
They’ve really stepped up despite the are novelty in photography , capturing moments around the office like pros.
Yesterday, I asked them if they were keen on photography, and to my surprise—and excitement—they said yes!
I immediately sent them a mobile photography course to get started, encouraging them to learn at their own pace.
Who knows? Maybe soon I’ll be teaching them the ins and outs of photography and videography—if they’re ready for it!
