MBRS (Malaysian Business Reporting System) is an online platform developed by SSM for the submission of financial statements, annual returns, and exemption applications in XBRL format.
We are moving to MBRS era by mid of 2025. Last week we had our MBRS training for #ktp management.

Sounds easy, right? Listen to the tutorial, follow the steps, complete the tasks—simple.
At least, that’s what I thought.
The listening part went well. No issues. I nodded along, feeling confident.
Then came the hands-on session. There were 20++ tasks to complete, each with a tutorial video.
I breezed through the first two tasks. Smooth sailing.
Then came Task 3. I spent over an hour trying to complete it. Every attempt ended the same way…an error message popping up, taunting me like a stubborn audit issue.
Frustrated, I called in Manager Lim Qiu Hui She guided me, pointing out a few mistakes. “Try again,” she said. I did.
Still failed.
Fine. Time for backup. I waved over Manager arthur yong the fastest person to complete the training.
The moment he stepped into the room, my screen miraculously looked fine. I confidently waved him off, “All good.”
BAD LUCK.
Error message popped up again after his leave,
I tried for another 30 minutes. My patience was wearing thin. My tolerance for MBRS errors? Non-existent.
Desperate, I called Manager Lim Qiu Hui back. This time, I demanded a live demo. “Show me, do it in front of me.”
She did. No error.
At this point, I was questioning my life choices. The same software. The same steps.
But for some reason, MBRS decided to bully me alone.
Enough was enough. I told HR that “I’ll finish this over the weekend.”
What was supposed to take one day had now become my weekend project.
MBRS 1, Me 0.
PS : I did not finish the weekend projecy as I was down with flu. May be i join the rest of colleagues end of March MBRS training.
