I Hardly Do Personal Tax…

At KTP, my tax firm, we usually stay far, far away from personal tax filing — especially those with only employment income.

Why?

Because it’s simple. Straightforward. Honestly, most people can DIY with a cup of kopi and their EA Form.

I am are still picky about business income filers

If you’re an SME boss with business income under personal tax — I usually say no unless:

  1. We know your account preparer, or
  2. Your management accounts don’t scare us

Too many still like cowboys — claiming things they shouldn’t, or worse, not claiming what they can.

But recently, something funny happened in LHDN.

LHDN suddenly became very “influencer” …
Awareness posts on social media
And yes, even showing up on TikTok like some tax KOL.
Good job. Bro!

So here’s what we did as usual … we generate tax updates every year for our Sdn Bhd clients, we thought :

Let’s create one for our bosses who still don’t understand what they can (and cannot) claim.
