Last week, I had a meeting scheduled with Christina, our backend support colleague, at 11:00 AM.
Due to an urgent official task, I got held up. At 10:35 AM, I messaged her on WhatsApp:
“Be late, say 11:30. Sorry.”

She replied quickly and kindly:
“Sure, no problem.”
Her gracious response made me feel even more guilty.
As her boss, I should have done better:
- I should have been punctual.
- I should have called earlier, not just dropped a message.
- Most importantly, I set a poor example in a company that values punctuality.
This small delay brought back a big memory.
Years ago, early in my business journey, I was late for a meeting with a client — a former schoolmate who had given me one of my first opportunities.
I rushed in, breathless and apologetic.
He looked at his watch and said,
“Your time is more expensive than mine?”
That sentence hit me like a rock. I felt so ashamed.
From that day on, I made a personal vow …
Never make someone feel that their time is less important than mine.
At KTP, punctuality is more than just being on time — it is a sign of respect and professionalism.
Every minute we keep someone waiting is a minute of their day they won’t get back.
Time is one of the most valuable contributions we can give each other.
Being punctual isn’t just a habit — it reflects who we are, what we value, and the respect we show to others.
Be punctual. Time is a mirror of your integrity.
