E-invoice is not just a software change.
It is a mindset change.

Last week, one simple question proved why proper training matters.

To train our new recruits, we used a very structured approach:

  1. They attended a full-day Zoom seminar on Wednesday.
  2. They wrote notes for morning and afternoon sessions.
  3. They emailed their notes and reflections to their managers and HR manager on the same day.
  4. On Friday, I gave them a 10-question e-invoice tough quiz to finish within 15 minutes.
  5. On Friday afternoon, my manager Ms QH Lim summarised the key takeaways for the whole team.

The next Monday, a junior passed me an audit file.

I asked casually,
“Since this company receives rental income, are they subject to e-invoice?”

She said, “No.”

I asked her to reconfirm.
She changed her answer to, “Yes.”

I passed her a scissor and instruct her,
“Cucuk me. You almost mampus me completely.”

The whole room laughed, but the message was clear.

Seminar alone is not enough.
Notes alone are not enough.
Only when you can apply e-invoice to real clients that is when the learning becomes real.

“E-invoice for Phase 4 starts soon. Train your team properly. Guessing is not a strategy.”
