At 50: Boldly bought a Honda Africa Twin 999cc in just 10 minutes, despite no prior experience on hashtag#motorbike or hashtag#biker buddies.

🛵Automatic Gear Perk:
Opted for the Africa Twin for its beginner-friendly DCT technology.

🛵Delivery and Petrol-Up Gag:
Got the Africa Twin home-delivered by Honda and had the driver petrol it up.

The driver laughed at me when I told him my background

🛵Early Roadblocks:
The bike sat idle at home for half a year, waiting for my riding skills and a license.

🛵Bumpy First Ride:
Inaugural ride ended with a zinc wall crash and two harmless tumbles with damage to fuel tank. Thankfully no injury on myself.

🛵License Odyssey:
Aced the ‘undang undang’ course with nearly 100% in the written test, despite 30 years of car driving.

Took 12 on-road lessons on a 500 cc motorbike, starting with a kapcai first 3-4 lesson.

The instructor laughed at me when I told him my background

The first lesson: mastering throttle control on a kapcai in full leather gear from glove and jacket like Michael Jackson.

Passed the driving test on the fourth try, with a quick fail (in less than 10 seconds) on the bridge crossing for all three previous tests.

🛵Adventurous First Tour from Johor to Lembing:
Day 1: Solo tumble at a traffic light junction.

Day 2: Unplanned bumps into two expensive BMW bikes in a parking lot.

Day 3: A deliberate encounter with an expensive Audi Q7 in a narrow lorong.

Thankfully no injury on myself physically but mentally collapsed.

Left the group immediately after the first ride due to their notorious speed . They zoom 180 to 200 on highway.

🛵First Safety Training Mishap:
Fell at a roundabout, breaking my brake lever into two pieces.
