I still remember this conversation like it just happened yesterday.
An experienced new joiner pulled me aside and asked, half-jokingly but half-frustrated:

“Why KTP got so many SOP?
Why need to audit so many things?
Why cannot just follow how my ex-firm did it?”
For a moment, I smiled.
Because I’ve heard this many, many times — from juniors, seniors, even managers.
It’s normal.

But I always gently reply:
“You didn’t join KTP to repeat your past.”
” Every company is different is unquie culture!”
Yes, KTP has many SOPs.

Yes, we audit many things.
Because attention to detail protects not just us and our professional integrity in line with auditing standard.
And no, we cannot just follow how your ex-firm did it.
Because we’re not here to copy.
We’re here to build something better — step by step, client by client, audit file by audit file.
In every industry, every office, every team…
The greatest enemy of progress is “This is how we always did it.”
