The Inland Revenue Board (HASiL) has just introduced two important features on the MyTax platform: e-Derma and e-Kompaun.
- e-Derma: Apply for Tax Exemption Online
From now on, domestic institutions and organisations can submit tax exemption applications directly through the new e-Derma system on MyTax.
This feature is relevant if your company contributes donations to approved institutions or if you manage a body seeking tax-exempt status under Section 44(6) of the Income Tax Act 1967.

Here’s how it works:
Log in to the MyTax portal.
Select Login > Company Director/Organisation Administrator.
Go to Institution or Organisation > ezHasil Services > e-Derma.
Submit your exemption application online.
Why does this matter?
The old process required physical paperwork and long waiting times. With e-Derma, the submission and approval process is faster, more transparent, and entirely paperless.
- e-Kompaun: Settle Compounds Without Queuing
The second new feature, e-Kompaun, is a game-changer for employers and corporate taxpayers. Launched officially on 30 June 2025, it allows you to handle tax-related compounds entirely online.
What does e-Kompaun cover?
Late payment of Monthly Tax Deductions (PCB) or CP38 (Rule 10, Income Tax (Deduction from Remuneration) Rules 1994).
Failure or delay in submitting CP204 (company tax estimate) under subsection 107C(2) of the Income Tax Act 1967.
