Yesterday’s ride? Wah, really drama.

Didn’t sleep well the night before.
Three weeks never touch the bike.
Still can’t tame that 300cc two-stroke monster since August.

Don’t be fooled by the video lah.
Off-road biking is not picnic at Hutan Bandar.
It’s like doing gym, sauna, and heart attack challenge all at once.

Barely 30 minutes in Seri Alam,
first fall already come.
Only 100 meters uphill,
The bike slipped on wet slope, straight boom.
My right back kissed the ground.
Bike stand broke, screw patah.
That’s my warm-up session.

After washing the bike, the gear shifter jammed.
So I rode the rest of the trail in first gear only, like a wounded soldier crawling home.

Second fall, downhill, short but steep.
Corner came too fast.
Brain panic. Hand also panic.
Press both brakes, front and back, and flew like Superman without cape.
Jersey koyak, right hand bruise, left thumb bend like sotong.
Should’ve worn full armour, but I scared heatstroke mah.

Then came the third fall, the final drama.
Tight route, wrong angle.
Overshot straight into a small longkang.
Bike fell on my right leg, jammed me under.
Tried to lift it, cannot.
Five minutes stuck there shouting like drama serial.
Lucky my fellow riders came fast.
If not ah, I don’t even dare to imagine.

After that, I was angry.
Angry at my noob skill.
But also thankful, still can stand, still can walk, still can ride home.

Told my fellow rider after,
“Next ride, we focus on dense forest and rubber tree trails. No more straight highway gravel. Need to train skill and stamina first.”

So today, pit stop one, bike shop.
Pit stop two, Chinese sinseh, repair my right back, right hip and left handthumb.

And my heart, still bruised, but grateful for the rescue, the ride, and the reminder that every fall has a lesson.
