Boss, this is your last clean up window for stamp duty.
Many SMEs think stamp duty is only for property or big loan agreement.

Wrong. Everyday documents (written instructment) also can trigger stamp duty. Service agreement, rental, lease, NDA, sales contract, even addendum.
The duty may be small. But the penalty is the killer. One RM10 document can become RM100 penalty. Multiply by dozens or hundreds of agreements, suddenly it becomes a serious bill.
IRBM now gives a one time chance : Stamp Duty Voluntary Disclosure Programme (SDVDP).
If your documents were signed between 1 Jan 2023 to 31 Dec 2025, you can disclose, submit and pay by 30 June 2026 and enjoy 100% penalty waiver. You pay duty only, no penalty.
But please remember. Submit only is not enough. Payment must be completed by 30 June 2026.
Our advice : Do not wait until June. Start now. Collect your agreements from Sales, HR, Procurement, Operations. Many documents are not even kept by accounts.
