Not long ago, I had the special opportunity to host #ACCA Malaysia at #KTP. It was an amazing experience! They shared a lot of helpful resources and information, which is really useful for students and members looking to improve and grow.
Here’s my own ACCA story:
I come from a humble background (ie poor family), and studying overseas felt as impossible as climbing Mount Everest. Back in the 90s, there weren’t many options for further studies.
We didn’t have things like twinning programs and online courses.
Also, I must admit, my grades weren’t the best.
ACCA became a way out for someone like me, who didn’t have many resources or outstanding grades.
I remember rushing to Systematic College for night classes near Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque in Kuala Lumpur and beef noddle after night class and studying hard at the ACCA library during weekends.
While working full-time as an auditor, I managed to complete 18 ACCA papers after six attempts. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.
Thanks to ACCA, people now see me not just as an hashtag#accountant but also as an hashtag#auditor and tax agent with international recognition.
If you ask why chose ACCA, it’s the ‘NO CHOICE’ that totally turned my life around.
