“The customer’s TIN is correct.”
“Then?”
“The SSM’s Business Registration Number (BRN) cannot validate.”
“Company number also can block e-Invoice meh?”

Yes.
The sale is completed.
The goods are delivered.
But one old company number may stop the billing process.

From 1 August 2026,
HASiL will introduce TIN and Business Registration Number, BRN, validation through the Validate Taxpayer’s TIN API.

In simple English,
your TIN and BRN must match as one correct pair in HASiL’s records.

Correct TIN.
Old or wrong BRN.
Validation may fail.

If your company, enterprise or LLP is registered with SSM,
use the current 12-digit BRN.

For example,
202501234567.

If you are still using the old pre-2019 registration number,
please check it now.

Your BRN may be hiding in three places.

In HASiL’s records.
In your accounting system.
In your customers’ and suppliers’ master data.

Your system may be correct.
But your customer/supplier may still be using your old BRN.

Then everyone says,
“My side is correct.”
Accounts blames IT.
IT blames the software vendor.
Software vendor blames the master data.
Master data blames IRB.

Finally, the boss asks,
“Why has the invoice not gone out?”

Before 1 August 2026,
Check your BRN in MyTax and MyInvois.
Confirm it against your latest SSM record.
Update your accounting or ERP system.
Ask your major customers and suppliers to check theirs too.

Many SME bosses think e-Invoice readiness means buying software.

It does not.
Expensive software with outdated master data is still an expensive problem.

One old BRN may delay one e-Invoice.
One delayed e-Invoice may delay one payment.
