KTP & Company PLT

Imagine this.
An SME boss sees the Budget 2027 news and immediately WhatsApps his tax agent.

“Company tax reduced.
I also get more personal relief.
Next year should pay less tax, right?”

Tax agent replies.
“Your company, possibly.
Your personal tax, we need to calculate separately.”

Boss reads the message twice.
“The company is mine.
The boss is also me.
Why one happy, one sad?” 😂

Because the benefits under Budget 2027 depend on eligibility.
Cannot see the words “tax cut” and everyone starts celebrating.

SME bosses, look at these two key points first.

First. How much can your company save?

From YA2027, for qualifying micro, small and medium enterprises,
the proposed tax rate on the first RM150,000 of chargeable income drops from 15% to 14%.
The next RM450,000 drops from 17% to 16%.
Anything above RM600,000 remains at 24%.

Second. Lower company tax does not mean lower personal tax for the boss.

Personal relief is proposed to increase from RM9,000 to RM12,000.
Tax rates for certain middle-income bands will also be reduced.

But the portion of chargeable income above RM1 million is proposed to be taxed at 30%.

So.
Your company saves some money.
You personally may need to prepare a bit more.

By now, you may be thinking.

“Uncle, I am just running a business.
Not preparing to sit for a tax paper lah.” 😂

Understood.

So we have put the key points into our KTP Budget 2027 interactive webpage.

Use the personal and company tax calculators to estimate the changes.
You can also compare the 2027 measures with 2026.

No need to read every page.
Start with the pages that affect your pocket. 😂

Our view is simple.

Reading the Budget keeps you informed.
Checking your eligibility and calculating the numbers helps you make decisions.

Share the webpage with your accountant or finance team.
At your next meeting, ask one question.
“How much do these changes actually affect our company?”

The tax measures mentioned are still Budget proposals,
subject to the final legislation,
effective dates and official guidelines.
