Late Father’s Day Gift. 4 Egg Tarts Came.
Today, around 1pm plus, my backend support team suddenly passed me one Hock Kee box.
They said, “Boss, late Father’s Day gift.”

I was a bit shocked.
Not because the gift was very expensive.
But because normally backend support team supports system, supports workflow, supports documents, supports deadlines.
Today, they suddenly support until boss’s heart.
Also because I had not eaten lunch yet.
When I saw the box, my first reaction was:
“Nasi lemak?”
Inside my mind, I already started imagining sambal, ikan bilis, kacang, cucumber, and half egg.
A 57-year-old man’s happiness is actually very simple.
As long as the sambal is spicy enough.
Then I opened the box.
Not nasi lemak.
It was 4 egg tart.
This is not the normal egg tart size.
This one is dinosaur egg upgrade.
At that moment, I understood life.
Sometimes you think today is nasi lemak day.
But destiny gives you egg tart test.
I was touched.
But I was also very awake.
I looked at the 4 egg tarts.
Then I thought about my age, weight, and cholesterol.
Finally, I made a very uncle boss decision.
I ate one.
The remaining three, I passed back to them.
Because my whole family is overseas for holiday.
Boss eats one, called appreciation.
Boss eats four, called Going Concern Problem.
Thank you to my backend support team.
Today, you all did not just support backend.
You all supported boss’s heart.
Next time if really nasi lemak, please give more sambal.
Thank you Angela Fong, Ms C, Ms Farina, Ms Yaashiniy and Ms Clc.
